Tell us what happened

Use our contact form, choose “Other” and begin your message with “Complaint for the Director”. Include the service or product concerned, relevant dates, any reference and the outcome you are seeking. Ask for a secure route before sending confidential evidence.

Review process

The Director is responsible for arranging a fair review, assessing urgent safety issues, keeping a proportionate record and explaining the outcome. A complaint should be acknowledged and a realistic response timescale explained. If more time is needed, the reason and next update should be communicated.

If you disagree with the outcome

Ask for a further review and explain what remains unresolved. Where a concern involves the Director, an appropriately independent reviewer should be sought where practicable. We do not claim membership of an ombudsman, accreditation body or alternative dispute resolution scheme unless this is confirmed for the relevant service.

Your other routes remain available

This process does not remove statutory rights, access to a court or the ability to contact an appropriate regulator. Data protection concerns can also be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Use emergency services for immediate danger; this website is not monitored as an emergency reporting service.

Privacy and fair treatment

Share only necessary information. Good-faith complaints must be handled without retaliation. Complaint records should be restricted to people who need them and kept only for the review, any follow-up and applicable legal requirements.
