How we use website and supplier enquiry information.

Who is responsible
Medwear Academy Limited, company number 16351723, is the controller for enquiries through this website. You can contact the Director at info@medwearacademy.com or through our contact form, choosing “Privacy request”. This notice covers the current enquiry website. Additional information must be provided before any new checkout, learner account, marketing subscription or recruitment process starts.
Information and sources
We receive the contact details and messages you provide, including your name, email, organisation and enquiry type. Supplier enquiries also request business capabilities, manufacturing locations, website details, certificate information, minimum quantities and lead times. Wix may receive technical information such as IP address, device and browser details for hosting, authentication and security. Please do not send patient records, identity documents, criminal record information or unnecessary health information. If you give another person’s business contact details, tell them you have done so.
Purposes and lawful bases
We use enquiry information to respond, discuss requirements, assess supply proposals, maintain correspondence and handle complaints. Our legitimate interests are operating the business, responding to requests and protecting the website; those interests must be balanced against your rights. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, the pre-contract basis may apply. Where a specific legal recordkeeping duty applies, we rely on that duty. A privacy acknowledgement is not consent to marketing.
Who receives information
Enquiries are recorded through Wix. The current site contributor check shows the owner account only, and form submission access is configured for the owner and authorised collaborators. Relevant information may also be shared with an appropriate professional adviser, service provider or authority where necessary and lawful. An enquiry is not automatically published or sent to a supplier. Tallisdom Healthcare Limited is a separate company; information is not automatically shared merely because the websites link to each other.
International processing
Wix and its service providers may process information outside the UK. The applicable Wix data processing terms and transfer arrangements must be reviewed for this processing. Ask us for information about the safeguards applying to your enquiry. See Wix’s data processing information and its sub-processor list. We do not claim that all information remains in the UK.
How long information is kept
Retention is assessed using the enquiry’s status, the need for follow-up, any resulting contract, complaints, applicable accounting or legal obligations and live disputes. Irrelevant or duplicate information should be removed when no longer needed. Records needed for an ongoing legal matter may have to be retained until that matter ends. You can ask about the retention decision for your particular record.
Your choices and rights
Required fields are marked. Without the necessary contact details and enquiry information we may be unable to respond. You may ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction and, where applicable, portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If consent is relied upon for a separate activity, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights have legal limits. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Decisions, marketing and security
The current enquiry process does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Enquiries are not newsletter subscriptions. Website data is transmitted over HTTPS. Both forms are configured with Wix’s advanced spam filtering. No system can guarantee absolute security; access, retention and incident handling need ongoing review.
Cookies and storage
Read our cookies and browser storage notice. Our enquiry code keeps its anonymous Wix visitor token in browser memory rather than persistent local storage and does not save enquiry answers to browser storage.
Changes
This notice must be reviewed when processing changes. If information is to be used for a new purpose, appropriate information must be given before that use.
Email and shared contact arrangements
Business email is handled through Microsoft 365. Medwear email aliases currently deliver to the Director’s existing business mailbox, also used for Tallisdom Healthcare correspondence; the businesses remain separate data controllers. The shared telephone number is also used for both businesses. Identify Medwear when contacting us and share only information needed for your enquiry. Personal information must be used only for the relevant purpose and accessed only by authorised people. Ask for a secure route before sending sensitive evidence. A separate mailbox and access arrangements should be reviewed if staff access or processing changes.
